New Shoei RF1200 shield vs. Old RF1200 shield....

Smashed my RF1200 while racing, its a few seasons old but now its dead. Bought a new RF1200 and attempted to put the old dark smoke tinted shield on new helmet. They are close, but not the same...attachment wise. It wont fit. The mounting tabs are in a different position. Is this normal? Did Shoei change their helmet and shield?

My old X12 (which I also smashed) and the old RF1200 shields were interchangeable.....

Is this what the CWR-1 pinlock shields I see now on the interwebs are for? New RF1200's and the X14?

 

The X-12 and RF1100 use a CW-1 shield. The RF-1200 and X-14 use the CWR-1 (as well as the flat CWR-F with tear off posts) shield.
