Lots of people seem to really like the Solo, is there a version that acts as the dash as well?

AIM has the MXL2 Pista Dash/Data logger. Nice unit but has an MSRP of $1999.

    Thats why i choose Aim.
    Less than 400$.
And its simple. Lol. And i need simple for me.
But when i looked i ask cart guys and car guys too. Cause sometimes bikes dont look at car stuff and cart stuff.
Aim was the most popular and i know guys who have used them a long time.
And they had good luck with them.
Cart guys have compact dash units.
    So may check into that.
    Best of luck.

The kart stuff from AIM (Mychron5 now) is semi-affordable.

Doesn't the GPX-4 function as a dash and logger for like $695 and the 8 channel for like $899? That was kinda more the price range I was thinking as "affordable". I do realize they can be MUCH MUCH more costly than even $2k.

And the Mychron5 is like $500 or something I think (will those work on a bike?)

This is awesome. Now all we need is for some badass R1 riders to upload their fastest laps at each racetrack around the US so we can learn how to mimic them. And of course go buy an R1.

Any track setup required with the aim solo if it recognizes the track? First time using it this weekend and I'm not reading the manual at midnight

    tiggen Things are lookin' up.

Got an AIM Solo for use in karting. My buddy ran it around a local track, and I looked at the data in the software. Pretty easy to use after watching a couple vids on youtube. Pretty happy with it; looking forward to using it more.
