So I'm assuming this sprocket is no good. I got some new tires mounted yesterday and was about to put them back on and noticed this. One tooth is chipped and another one next to it is scratched pretty bad IMG_1397.JPG

Time for new chain and sprockets. You've got something going on with that wear mark on the tip, seriously out of alignment ?

yea i know right, i just find it odd that only about 4 teeth are worn like that.

Could be as simple as something flew up off the road and got "eaten" by it.

It was low sided by the previous owner and hoping it just chewed up something in the crash.

I'd run that without hesitation, front sprocket, probably not, the rear? No problems as long as the chain doesn't bind going on or off those teeth.

    I
I went on the side of caution and just ordered a new one

  10. I would never run that. Not on mine or anyone elses bike. Sprockets are $50 bucks. Screw the risk.
