I responded in kind to your posts - nothing more nothing less. I didn't dodge anything, try reading the posts again sometime when you're not pissed off or whatever your issue is.

To you and Huey - absolutely, you're pissed that you have been publicly called out for thinking a post on here 8 years ago controls current rules in another class. Of course you're not happy with the customer service. The only way you'd be happy is if I agreed with you and went against the written and enforced rules. Well, that's not proper customer service to my other customers now is it?

We had two conversations, one in the pits, and one, much longer conversation at Huey's surprise birthday party. Forgetting one conversation is sometimes unavoidable. I make it a point to leave myself reminders on my phone, etc when something is important to my customer/client (and therefore to me).

I'm not arguing over a snorkel; I'm just not prepared to let a lazy, avarice-laden "I forgot" be a credible answer to my question.

Only if they make up things about me. Come on now, even you'd have to admit I'm consistent like that.

"In kind?" When have I cursed at you in my posts? The post from 8 years ago is immaterial; everything I've said is based on words you have said to my face.

You are obviously not averse to beating the snot out of a dead horse either. Give it a MFin rest. Everyone has to comply to the same standards whether or not the rulebook changes.

Sorry, you're correct and I worded that poorly. What I meant to say was that the argument to allow slicks in CSS has been discussed since at least 2013. My point about it not reflecting until the rule book till half way through the season (when it was previously only announced on the beeb) stands. I am vague on this part so I can't say for 100%, but I do believe the whole "double bubble" windscreen drama was the same way (Allowed per the beeb, but did not reflect on the rule book)

To be honest, and seriously not picking on anyone, the slight difference would be worth it.

Meaning those who have it and choose to remove it won't be "that" far off on getting to make a huge difference IMO.

If it were me, (and I'm not telling you what to do, just giving you my opinion as a builder and racer of all things 2 wheels) let them all remove the snorkels. If you get beat in a 250 class, it's not because you did or didn't have a snorkel.

That's my diplomatic most mature response I can give.

    We're not the only ones.
And not speaking for Ed, I'm not pissed at all. I do however not like being called names when having a conversation about rules and when I'm flat telling you that I (and others have said on here but possibly too tired of your confrontational attitude hopefully they'll sack up) thought something was one way based upon something you said, albeit from 2008.

So a conversation in the pits and one at a party. Hell, I don't even remember a surprise birthday party, I remember one where Martin got body slammed (after the viagra thing and the fireworks on heads). Getting older does that to you, stuff runs together. Email me about it in the future. Or snail mail. Or a fax - 770-720-5015.

If you can't deal with I forgot then as I've been saying all along - the issue is yours.

What's cursing got to do with anything?

If it makes you feel better then go with the conversations 4 years ago. Saying "I should fix that" doesn't make anything an actual rule. It being changed in the book does.

There are times where I'll post about an allowance here - like a bulletin from pro racing. The snorkels are actually a great example of that - and they were allowed to be removed in 2009. If however the rules as written do not get changed then the allowance ends and the written rules are the rules.

I never said you didn't think that. I fully agree you did think it was okay to remove them. I've just said you were wrong. I have no issue with the confusion, it happens. Look at my initial response to Ed as a perfect example of that - there is not one single thing that is confrontational in any way and I even offer a way out for those without a snorkel. Look at my response to Kurt. Nothing confrontational. then look further at the responses to me. Look at your shops post to facebook....

You posting that I changed the rules however is a lie. You didn't say that there was a misunderstanding, you said I changed the rules. The rules have not changed. Your misunderstanding does not make a difference on that score.

I don't care if people misunderstood or why they did. If they did and they cannot make their bikes legal per the rules then I need to know and I can try to figure out something - just as I asked in my very first response about this to Ed.

It was me, in the other debauchery- I mean "thread." As a side note, I went back through that conversation to when I checked the rulebook to see if it had been updated- July 14. It hadn't yet been changed.

Not really actually. I never made anything up.
How about you look at it from my side: You put out the post in 2008. Quick BBS search has tons of people saying you can do it with no one correcting them to tell them you can't. People (not just Ed and I) still believe it's true up to and including the last race of the season a few weeks ago. You had DNF's at one point, probably (hopefully) because people thought it was legal instead of just plain cheating. There was no clarifying announcement after that that I've seen and I wasn't privy to that so how was I supposed to know it happened? (AMA put's out tons of rule adjustments thought the year and they list DQ's and inspections so that their customer's are more informed and legal.). This all culminates in a thread where it gets discussed and people start calling me asking if their bike is legal (these people are obviously insane, misinformed, assholes also) and will I have time to fix it before the GNF. I think "well this is a change!" That's followed by me making the mistake of coming here to simply explaining why I came to the conclusions I did and you shit-storming and calling names.
    The end.

None of this matters in relation to the GNF, but my goal in all this is to get you to examine how you handle yourself and WERA. As I predicted, you're more interested in defending yourself and your (in)actions than listening. You'd rather hide behind the rulebook than revise how you handle it.

Very little in this thread makes me feel good about anything associated with WERA. Not the rulebook, because it's dependent on you. Not you, because you're more interested in your own self-image and pride than doing your job. Not the officials, because they have this misfortune of having to justify your decisions and non-decisions. And, sadly enough, I have to wonder about Evelyne - even though she has always been the picture of class and competence in relation to WERA-, because she allows you to be loutish, lazy and apathetic about your job.

Simply explaining why you came to the conclusions you did?

It's sad, I think you have yourself convinced that's what you did.

You think a lot of things. I can't change those.

What do you think I did? So far I've never asked for the rule to be changed like you said. I haven't called you a name like you said. Other people other than me thought it also, unlike what you said.

I want legal bikes and informed customers and no one to say to you at the GNF the same things I've been telling you after you DQ them or that the first time they're hearing this is in the rider's meeting.

You keep blaming me and Ed solely instead of looking at the facts.
