Jan 23rd we will invade 5 Flags Speedway again! Check out the awesome promo video from last year that Thunder Multimedia put together. We had Pro's racing cars and bikes and carnage everywhere! If you have a mini or SUperMoto or a Crappy car, you NEED to come play!!
What are the bike classes? Looks like Minis & Motards. Is there a displacement limit on Motards? 450 cc? Unlimited? Can a watercooled 650cc single run? All pavement? Any dirt? Cheers, Dave
There is a Facebook event page. Classes for all size motards. We have vet/senior class and open am class you can run. All pavement.
Do they allow 2-strokes? I will put the dot knobs back on the KE100 and run it. Maybe even go with street tires. The cars looked a little bit like a joke, the bikes a bit more serious.
Shamelessly ripped off the first round's FB event. I'd rip it off the current FB event but I can't find it?! Thanks Kurlon! I wonder what "true amateur" means? Never made any money racing motos? I qualify. Run what ya brung . . . really? Anything? Pure race bikes, superbike spec . . . anything? Wow, this could really be interesting . . . . And, I suspect carnage is part and parcel of any such program. Cheers, Dave
You definitely don't have to join Facebook to race I didn't know that you weren't on Facebook and honestly I thought you were. That being said, I'm not tellin. Anyone which class they must run. It's kinda like dirt track in that it's considered an outlaw event. If you feel like you're fast enough to win some $$ against the pros then by all means go for it. If you're looking for fun racing and tracktime then go for open am and vet. The classes you are eligible for don't really have "rules" as far as bikes go. We will look it over and make sure it's not gonna leak oil on the track or the tires are dangerous. If you're looking for a super structured event where we have a 100 page rulebook telling you everything you can't do, then it's not for you. We want to bring back cheap grassroots racing and luckily one of the most prestigious tracks in the country will allow us motorcycles to play on it.
damnit man! Can't make it this year. Wife's birthday. Keep that thing going so I can come again next year
