I am venturing outside of my region to try to collect some Nationals points.
Can you guys help with some information?
    1. Which course do we run? How long is that course?
    2. What time do the gates close? Are they 24hrs?
    3. Does anyone have a track map with the radius angles?
    4. How is power availability?
    5. A good place to set up.
I am kind of nervous because this is the first track that I am racing on that I haven't visited prior. Thanks in advance.

    I'll try to help.

We run the whole track. It's big, and very flat.

The gates are opt 24, but I don't believe they sign people in after 10. You have to wait for it to open back up.

    Not sure on the map.

Power was ok, but they put a bunch of stands there for the car race. Call and reserve a spot if you need power. You will need to pay up front.

The pits are big. You can find plenty of space, but power is only along the fence.

I'll be there doing tires, Bridgestone/Michelin. I'll try to help if I can.

Thanks Stickboy. Its going to be hard for me to get there before 10pm from Atlanta.
I hoped they would be 24 hours like Road Atlanta or Roebling. Tally and Barber won't let you in until morning. They definitely do not have the working racer in mind when they do that.

I believe the gate time is 9 pm for general admission. After 9 if you have a power spot reserved they will let you in and escort you to the power pole.

Call and speak with Reynell she will assign you power and take your money:D

Thanks. I gave them a call. $40 a night for power!! I explained its just for a fan and two tire warmers. I'll just bring my generator. Don't they know how expensive racing is? For that money I can almost buy an AMA membership. lol

Gates close at 9pm and open at 7am. Grrrrr. Don't they know registration is at 7am? I love this sport, I love this sport, I love this sport......

Yes power there is expensive but we are always in a toy hauler and that price includes a water hookup and the camping over night fee. Small power consumers do not come out well there even if tent camping IMO. Yes the system needs an over haul at these tracks. Many who make up these rules and fees have no idea what is going on or for the most part anything about their clientele they serve. Barber isn't much better and if anything worse because there we get no water usage in the deal.

Sorry, on the road a lot the last week.

It'll be a double header - nationals and sportsman both days. Pretty normal schedule.

Thanks Mongo... What I figured... Is Friday on the schedule for practice?

That shit pissed me off when I showed up there the first time. It was like 10:30. Go up to the gate guard and he told me "There's no access after 10."

And I'm just like...are you fucking kidding me? They are paying you to man the gate, and you're forcing me to sleep in the parking lot? What a joke.

    Mongo,
Just to clarify, Saturday is Sportsman and Sunday is Nationals? Just like a normal DH weekend.

    TTRNO Speedshop

I see all of your questions have been answered. Just as an addition, I will be out there running the TTRNO Speedshop offering tire service, general repair, suspension setup assistance etc. Our speedshop is lofted and we try to keep the a/c kicking. Swing by for lunch and cool off, watch TV etc. The shop is located in the first garage nearest to the paddock, you'll see our tents as you roll in. Have a good time, hope to see you there.

Thanks I may stop by. I still haven't gone over my suspension (free sag, loaded sag.). I would like all the measurements.
Saturday will only be practice for me so I will have the time to bring my bike in. What do you charge for baseline suspension readings and recommendations, also maybe a little tweaking on my rear shock?
She is fast but she slips a lot (and I kinda like it, in a sadisticic way.)
She is Ohlins front and rear.

The rear slips a lot. The front is well planted.

I'd really like to hear the logic behind that... The only thing I can think of is that they don't want the people already asleep disturbed, and it reduces the potential for thefts.

But it's a business that relies upon people traveling great distances to attend. One would think there would be a better system in place for such things.

I'm all for track security; hell they can even snap pictures of my vehicle, plates, ID, and take inventory of how many bikes I come in with to confirm I'm not leaving with more than I showed up with, but having the gate locked with a person sitting there manning it seems silly.

No - track is doing a track day. There's a thread for it in General.
