I am a on highway caterpillar dealer, but am trying to help a good customer out that has a small 4cyl cat engine in some kind of equipment. Cat them selfs wont give me info cause I am a on highway dealer only, and will give no info for off highway stuff. I have an engine serial number if any one thinks they can help.

Thanks from your favorite tasting assjuice:D

Small 4? That might actually be a Perkins. I know that the 33hp 3 cylinder in our Ferris mower is a Perkins with a Cat badge

Do it like the Italians. Tourqe it to 60ftlbs, then 90 degrees, then 90 degrees again.

That's already happening in the big truck world. Everything anymore is x amount of torque then an additional degrees or some many flats on the bolts....
