My lab is getting up there in years and I've been considering picking up a pit mix or some other rescue, just not sure I want to deal with 2 dogs at the moment so still holding off. Threads like this make me want to do it tho.

Are there any homeowners insurance issues with GSD's? I've always LOVED the breed, and would LOVE to get one once my golden passes. But my wife isn't as keen on them. If I have to fight with insurance issues to boot, I have zero chance of winning that battle.

 

we asked our insurance agent that, he said adamantly no, thats with farm bureau homeowners. he also advised against any "beware of dog" type signs as well

 

Why?
I just bought a few of them to put up after I bury my wire. Did he explain why the signs are bad? Thanx.
