A wrist dive watch is just a tool, backup. I makes you think. :D

So, you'd use the dive computer (or whatever it is called) and wear the Rolex just because you can?

I've been lusting after the night train since I saw it a few years ago. Loves me some dark understated watches.

The numbers confuse me. I'd end up telling someone it's 35:30 :D

    Sheesh. You need help.

Obviously it's 41:20 in that picture.

Liking this one. Built in Detroit has a lot to do with it, but they look pretty damn good as well.

    Exactly! :)

I just got an excellent package/extension through next year. I will still interview with the dive outfit but I will be staying frozen in MN.

And, may still look at the Rolex. :)

I received the Orient Blue Ray before lunch. Feel weird on my wrist. 15 year with a Ti, worn as a bracelet, could not duplicate with the steel. I had to remove to links and actually affix the watch to my wrist. :D

That makes perfect sense to me. :D

Get the Rolex. You'll have it forever and chances are you'll lose nothing if you go to sell it in 5 ~ 10 years.

Welp, the checks came in for my gear, my bike and my watch over the weekend. The first two are going straight to savings for a truck in the spring, and a good chunk of the 3rd is as well but I got this too, 44mm vs my old 42mm that got murderized

Anyone know if Seiko makes a GMT movement?

Just the movement, or a donor watch...

Shinola watches are a status symbol of hipsters with beards and tight jeans while they sip trendy microbrews at the bar,

They still make some unique stuff I just can't associate with that crowd.

Detroit hipsters are eating it up.

Shinola is Fossil. Nothing wrong with them at all but they are a lot of hype.

That makes it even funnier :D

I thought I read they were working on their own movements.

Really, nothing wrong with them just not my watch of choice.

So they're not actually building anything in Detroit. Too bad.
