I've been lusting after the night train since I saw it a few years ago. Loves me some dark understated watches.
Exactly! I just got an excellent package/extension through next year. I will still interview with the dive outfit but I will be staying frozen in MN. And, may still look at the Rolex. I received the Orient Blue Ray before lunch. Feel weird on my wrist. 15 year with a Ti, worn as a bracelet, could not duplicate with the steel. I had to remove to links and actually affix the watch to my wrist.
That makes perfect sense to me. Get the Rolex. You'll have it forever and chances are you'll lose nothing if you go to sell it in 5 ~ 10 years.
Welp, the checks came in for my gear, my bike and my watch over the weekend. The first two are going straight to savings for a truck in the spring, and a good chunk of the 3rd is as well but I got this too, 44mm vs my old 42mm that got murderized
Shinola watches are a status symbol of hipsters with beards and tight jeans while they sip trendy microbrews at the bar,
They still make some unique stuff I just can't associate with that crowd. Detroit hipsters are eating it up.
I thought I read they were working on their own movements. Really, nothing wrong with them just not my watch of choice.
