They need to designate more clearly who is Factory Option and who is Open. Or whatever they are calling it now.

Tech 3 is Factory Option? Or Open? Is there a master list somewhere?

Seems to me "Factory with concessions" (Ducati) is closer to Open than to Factory.

    Unless they start winning.

I don't make the rules man. Take that issue up with Dorna.

Duacti has never been above demanding rule changes or concessions in lieu of building a better motorcycle.

I've watched Fenati ride, and I predicted he would be a star on a good bike. Hopefully he'll prove me right.

What's the big deal about the special concessions for Ducati? The likely scenario means they improve a little and the racing is closer. In the unlikely event that it's a massive advantage it will be gone immediately. I'm just not seeing any downside here.

    Fixed.

Dorna claims to want certain things yet they bow down to the group that is their biggest obstacle.

AFAIK the other teams *couch* Honda *cough* have been lobbying for changes, not Ducati. Ducati went open and were willing to play by those rules to help develop their bike. This factory with concessions bullshit is a reaction to the possibility that their bike may be too competitive.

He has been my favorite Moto3 rider the last couple years and very happy to see him on a competitive bike this year. Hope he keeps it near the front.
