From the Ventura County Star Fatal crash reported at Piru motocross track From staff reports on Sun Feb 02, 2014 1:22 PM PST One man was killed and a second man seriously injured Sunday in a crash at a Piru motocross track, authorities said. The incident was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. Initial reports called it a head-on collision between two motorcyclists at the track in the 4300 block of Center Street. One rider was taken to a hospital by helicopter. A second rider, a male in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Capt. Mike Lindbery of the Ventura County Fire Department. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol responded to investigate the crash, county fire officials said. After the crash, a second one was reported. One person with minor injuries was taken to a hospital by ambulance, Lindbery said.
