Metro Pizza is good for Pizza or Wings,it is east of UNLV on Tropicana on the south side of the Trop, beats Villa Pizza ,altho Villa does have decent Pizza

Can't speak much on higher end places as they are a little pricey for me

Lotis of Siam is one of the best Tai resturants in the country, they just stopped taking reservations so it is a walk up only seating, just dont arrive after 6pm or you will wait a LONG time lol

Breakfast at the Original Pancake House (any location). Their French toast is damn good!

One of my faves is Hot and Juicy Crawfish. Their boil is a Cajun/Asian blend of spices and is amazingly good!

A little off the beaten path, but worth it

Try Chicago Joes on 4th street (near Freemont Experience) authentic Italian Home cooking, great food, good prices. And the owner is a gear head, had supercharged Mustangs and a Lightning in the past. Good eats and gets you out of the Casinos.
For breakfast, the Egg & I is a good choice, or the Original Pancake house as mentioned earlier. If you are feeling adventureous, head to Boulder City and check out the Coffee Cup. It will be worth it. Owner is a biker, had a nice orange chopper he'd park out front. Great food and good boat, and motorcycle racing memorabilia on the walls and such. Guy Fierre stopped by for his show. Good food, plus Boulder City has a nice old downtown area that is good for shopping and strolling along - no gambling allowed in BC, so that is refreshing. Great views of Lake Meade too.
Lived in Vegas 15 years and always was on lookout for authentic places to eat and get away from the vapid vastness that is the Strip.

Closest I've ever had to the food I've had in Thailand. They've got dishes from Northern Thailand that you usually can't find in Thai restaurants.

Some tips on what to get:

They left off my favorite: Khao soi, which is noodles in a curry sauce.

I like to hit up Firefly once or twice for dinner when I'm out there. Also, Peppermill for breakfast as well. Too many good places though. Nobu at Hard Rock is delicious.

After an all night bender and running out of "stripper ones", follow up with a shower/change of clothes and hit the buffet at The Wynn. Then sleep off your buzz and do it all over again. :D

I just glanced through but damn surprised I haven't seen Ellis Island posted up yet. Cheap as hell, they brew their own beer which isn't too bad and great steak! It's off flamingo and koval. Good ol Jun Suganuma showed me that place and about a dozen other hole in the wall places that were bomb. Have em written down somewhere. Use to love whenever we went to vegas always ate like kings for dirt cheap haha.

Someone did mention it. I really need to try it out some time when we're there.

Tender in The Luxor is a nice steakhouse with an old-school Vegas vibe. Big booths, quiet atmosphere, etc. Great place for a quiet dinner with your chick.
