Noone knows for sure right now what TV capabilitiles are available. But I believe the demo they showed yesterday was using the HDMI output from a standalone cable box & IR blaster to control the cable box and live tv. The XB1 was acting as a middleman between the cable box & tv to control the programming and how it was displayed on the screen.

Streaming movie quality sucks on good equipment when compared to Blu-ray. It's like a revalve vs. carts.

With a 20-month old in the hopper, gaming is all the wifey will green light at this point. She almost killed me last week when I came home with a pocket rocket with training wheels. Rephrase then: Take the thousands you'd plow into stupid gaming consoles and invest it for the kid. Pay attention to the 20 month old and cranky wife and spend late nights polishing the racebike in the garage in anticipation of more affluent times, since sleep is a forethought at this point. C'mon Jim. I already sold MY bike when the wife got pregnant. If I don't have a bike OR gaming for stress relief, the kid won't ever see grade school, much less college.

Thats the plan. I already have both from this generation (PS3 & 360) and plan to get both for next gen. Even if both of these are priced at $499.. thats only a $1000 to have both consoles for the entire next generation. Considering this generation has went on for 8-9 years now.. when you look at the cost per year or even per day.. this is literally the cheapest entertainment I have in life. Chances are I'll get the XB1 first.. and the PS4 sometime next summer.
I have tried similar devices and the problem was that I could not speed up the mouse, movement was only as fast as the controller on xbox. I need PC mouse speed..
