Just pulled the carb off the YSR project and it is BAD. Anything other than carb cleaner that I can soak it in to help break down all the build up?
apparently regular flavor pine sol works wonders. can we link to other forums? http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=560117
Y'all ever 'back squirted' carb cleaner or brake cleaner or WD into your eyes or mouth or all onto your clothes because you got all impatient and shit trying to get your bike going? I have. Fuckin shit hurts. Sorry about the threadjack.
baking soda and a blowgun with piece of hose to suck it out of the box....polishes it up nice and is the bestto get rid of the corn in the bowls
Any tips on cleaning the jets? My lil CRF100 has been running like garbage for two years, just about positive the jet is clogged.
It's probably the pilot that's plugged/dirty, smallest hole, first to clog. On that bike the pilot's so tiny I wouldn't even bother trying to clean it, just put in a new one.
I agree!!! I did that about 4 years ago, and I still have dry eye symptoms caused by carb cleaner. And I was wearing glasses too!
