Ducati don't want to pay them more than it'd cost to do an in house effort.

 

They have to pay Ben and Crazy Joe next year.....money's tight.

 

Cheaper to pay Ben, Nicky, Crazy Joe, Dovi and Charlie Chucker combined than pay for a single Rossi. I bet they're headed to Vegas for a week's Emperor's package with the money they are saving.

I have also heard rumors that Effenbert Liberty Racing (if they even race next year...) is thinking about finding a different manufacturer.

 

Why not? They found an entirely different rider lineup than they started this season with.

I figure it had more to do with money than anything. It's a business. I'm sure they'd race a Vespa if they were paid enough to do it.

 

They are negotiating with Francis Batta to bring back his team (Alstare). He's trying to get enough of a budget for two bikes so Sylvain Guintoli can be Checa's teammate.
