The Honda is such a pain in the ass to work on......and there are so many readily available stock & after market parts for the GSXR... The CBR is very rider friendly and fun to ride so I use it as my two up bike!! See attached very stock CBR photo with pit crew on the back..
Never heard anyone who is sane describe any 1000 as "friendly" for the track. Kind'a like talking about a 8 foot black bear as a good dance partner.
Both bikes are way more capable than 99.9% of the riders that will ever throw a leg over the seat. Yeah, that includes these guys yapping in this thread. They are very close to each other in stock form. So close the average rider isn't going to be able to exploit the differences. NEITHER is friendly on a track. But the best point made for the Suzuki is the amount of info avail and trackside support, etc. Honda's are a pain in the ass to work on almost as bad as Yamahas.
