I'm trying to get into racing but just dont have the finances (17 years old) Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to obtain a sponsor or two? I dont even know where to begin, any and all help/tips are VERY appreciated.
Once I'm on the track I'm confident I'll do well and be competitive.. Just need help getting there. And yes but I can't deal with the drama that comes with a rich girl. :up:
Man, there are likely thousands of guys here that would gladly deal with the drama due to the fact that they aren't quite as skilled & confident as you are. Please post up her number so we can take advantage of her cash influx, drama & all. As far as sponsors right now, just do a search on google for all the major bike, tire, gear & suspension companies & send out a carefully worded resume outlining your intent & telling them how well you'll be doing just as soon as you get out there. They'll come calling. Don't bother asking here. We're just small time club racers.
I asked here assuming the members on here would have some sort of experience or insight. My bad for mistaking a forum as a place where people of a common interest communicate to better themselves. No I haven't been on a track yet. But most of the guys I ride with have racing pasts and all say I have a lot of potential. Did you miss that I'm 17? It'd be "Daddy's money" anways.
