based on that article, the old saying of "if you have to ask, you probably cant afford it" will probably apply
yup, considering the fact they're hand made and only 100. The wheels are set in motion for a more affordable one.
looks fantastic. I hope Buell kicks ass with this bike, he deserves to be part of the motorcycle industry way more (obviously) than HD allowed
Did you have a hand in the development phase of it Geoff, or was it pretty much mostly done by the time you started testing it out?
Is the carbon edition the only one being made at the moment? I will have one You will rock on the 1190
Everything we did in racing last year was for this bike. I tested this bike back in april of last year for the first time. AMA would not allow us to run it per there homologation rules, which is fair. But they did allow us to homologate certain parts to prove reliability and function. Like the radiators, oil cooler, brake rotor/brake set up, and the exhaust system just to name a few. Erik already had a prototype called the 1190rr which I tested over the year when we had time. Wera rules allowed us to test the bodywork for the 1190 on the 1125rr at the GNF. It was a long process and I came in towards the end, my part was mainly in proving the product and fine tuning it. The former Buell employee's before the shut down by Harley deserve most of the credit.
The majority of them are the regular 1190rs with a handful of the carbon being made. Thats what Erik told me anyways.
