Thanks for the comment Buck. You are absolutely right, I meant no disrespect or animosity toward WERA or their decisions or judgment in the matter.

Hey man, my left index finger is 1&1/2 times its normal size, very purple in color, and I can see my heart beat in it, so I decided to set Sunday out. Other than that, just bruises and bumps in several different areas.

Thanks so much for the use of your Chicken Hawk and it went in the mail back to you today. I'll PM you the tracking number.

I hope I can return the favor sometime in 2011.

    Thanks again

Even the guy that got ran off has a post that admits it was just a freak thing. He admitted to coming up on ur and ur wasn't going the speed he expected so he attempted to pass on the outside, and it didn't end well. Next year when I start racing, in the NOVICE class, I hope that if I take a different line, someone doesn't accuse me of wrecking them. The previous incidents seem to have been handled satisfactory, and this one seems to be just a racing incident.

During trackdays I have darn near @ss packed someone because they slowed to much or took a crazy line, but because I was behind them I took it as a problem with my riding as I should have had just alittle more room for error....... maybe this situation was similar?

The fact of the matter Mike is that if we have to question his actions on numerous occasions then why let him grid up? For the safety of others? So then he can brag about his own actions.

Somebody overheard him talk about changing his line based on a rider trying to pass and he just get's a fine? (We won't even talk about all the other incidents) All year the RD has repeatedly called out about "dangerous weaving"

I'll refrain from completely passing judgment, because I wasn't there, but I'm getting sick of reading about all this.

The least any of us could do to be sportsmanlike in this sport, is to always, ALWAYS maintain our line.

I have no dog in this fight.

Based on Mr Ur's previous incidents with other riders and the negative attention it's brought from the racing community I would have expected him to be on his best behavior. Error on the side of caution if you will.

The incident may very well have been on of those "racing deals", but for him to say he ran him off after all the drama about his riding this season says alot about the respect he has for his competitors, Wera, and the sport in general.

    $250 is a joke.:Puke:

Edit: And Mongo, you admitting that He said that and only fining him $250 is a bigger joke. Whats next, the Brad Hazen move?

Hearsay. As Mongo said, if there was any proof he would have been banned. I wasn't there, I don't know. But Mongo and WERA apparently don't feel there was the proof so that is pretty much the end of it.

:stupid: ...and, everybody get off of UR's and bodell's nuts...
"Congrats Mr. Ur on a fine weekend", "thanks for the free chicken gas", etc...:Puke:

It's obvious his bike outperforms his ability, and he needs to trade it on an SV or 10.

I hope this thread doesn't come back in the future when something very bad happens, with a big "I TOLD YOU SO."

I dont know him, so i have no answer for you. All I can think is what if the other problems were like this one, and instead of a friend posting the screaming, the rider that wrecked did. This go round from my reading it sounds at least partially legit. That comment could have left out if it was said, but unless the following rider was fairly close I doubt he even knew the rider was behind him.

I have no comment on the previous issues, but I will comment on the maintain your line part.
I don't know about you, but I have corners that I struggle with, ones that I just can't seem to be fast in unless I am following someone faster then me. And in those corners I change my speed, line, etc almost every lap to try to figure out what is the best one for me. Once I get comfortable, I know how to modify things for speed, but just entry, apex and exit seem to get me sometimes. Like the decreasing right at njmp thunderbolt, I can't seem to find a good turn in point since they moved the crown royal sign... so every lap I struggle through it and try something new to try to get it right. Maybe that turn was a problem for ur??? Maybe he was trying to figure out a faster way around that corner. Maybe his BMW didn't like the same line that gsxr's do? Maybe he was squaring it off and trying to point and shoot it out of there? Maybe he will post and let us know what he was doing, but until then we are all just speculating. Hopefully the posts have been wrong, and he was just doing his crazy line around that corner and it happened to work out badly. Idk?

maintaining your line means not adjusting course based on what somebody behind you may or may not be doing.

As far as why I am mentioning it and not Nikk... Because Nikk is a very new rider and a hell of a nice guy. Big as hell though. But the problem with this guy isn't limited to just Nikk. You call a spade a spade it's just that simple.

And yes everyone has a corner they suck at, just how it works. So pick another corner to pass in. Not every corner. Hell with that bike he has compared to Nikk's he should be wayyyyyy past him by the end of the straight. Unless he sucks ass through 6 and 7 and has no drive.

Did you even read Mongo's post?

    Here, Try again.

I guess the eyewitness info from the CW's is hearsay?

I hear you loud and clear. Your self description is perfect I might add. I remember seeing you several times at the turn one entrance to the paddock.

I honestly hope that Nikk is 100% fine. I think that you do him a discredit by coming to his defense, or offense I should say.

I do not appreciate your threatening tone, nor does it move me in the slightest bit.

And that is why I have a problem with this.

Either the guy was serious when he said it and should be dealt with appropriately.

Or, he was joking..........and given the other events leading up to this isn't a stable person who should be licensed to race bikes. Anyone else would have been beside themselves, and done everything they could to convey that it was an accident.

My point is this, how many laps was the crashed rider following Mr. Ur? Did he show Mr. Ur a wheel, or atleast get close enough to guaranty that Mr. Ur knew he was there? Or are we taking this all on the comment that wera didn't deem there was enough evidence to support? If that was the first time following Mr. Ur through that corner how did the other rider know that wasnt his normal line?

Do you see my point? We can all sit here and be armchair critics but we weren't there, in that corner, with them, seeing what they were thinking....

Just look at the rossi vs Lorenzo situation.... some people said it was good racing, some said it was bs and uncalled for. It is easy for us to critique after the fact, but if you look back closely it might change your original opinion..... this MIGHT be the same way....

Mike, did you miss the part where Ur said he ran the other rider off the track intentionally? Did you miss the part where Mongo said the corner workers confirmed this?
