The wife saw one fly over Indian Lake in the UP about 7-8 years ago, it was heading to Marquette, MI for July 4th fly-over.

Wife: I saw a stealth plane.
    Me: Fighter or bomber?
    Wife: <blank stare>
Me: Did it look more like a boomerang or an arrowhead?
    Wife: A boomerang I guess.

I was out riding while she was canoeing so I missed it.

I saw it too. Around 3 o'clock going over Menomonee Falls. Maybe it was around due to the President's visit today?

I see it all the time when I'm in Palmdale :D
    Makes me proud every time!

The best was when it got covered in a freak snowstorm on the tarmac.
You'll likely never see pics like this again

I used to dig watching the B-52's land. They are cool as f@ck in a heavy cross wind as they come in to land sideways.

I was on the EB 635 to NB 35W ramp last Monday afternoon here in DFW and looked up to see this lil jet.

There's 20 B2s in service, but there's only 2 of these bad boys. Not sure their pricetag.

they do sound pretty "different" without being louder, but I'm not sure the sound was an engineering concern. stealth technology is all about absorbing radar.

at bombing altitudes, will the sound even reach the ground before the aircraft is out of SAM range?

    Riiiight...

Everyone knows that it doesn't snow in the desert!

I spent about 17 years of my youth living on EAFB and in Lancaster. I do remember a handful snow days, a couple of them with quite a few inches. ;)

Got stopped once by CHP blocking traffic on Sierra Hwy near the end of the runway in Palmdale.

    WTF?!?!

Minutes later a SR71 took off only a few hundred feet over the hwy. :wow:

I watched a B-1 take off from Warner Robbins once when we stopped for fuel. I didn't even know what it was and the ramp guy told me to cover my ears. From a half mile away it was loud enough that I NEEDED to cover my ears.

Gawd, I love the look of the B-52. It looks angry even sitting still. :)

The F-86, Mig 15, A-10, B-52 and SR-51 are the 5 planes that make me do the grape ape. :)
