I thought XXX 118 made the best power not 128??????

I dynoed both XXX 118 and 101, not 128 yet. 118 made 3hp more than stock, 101 made 2hp more than stock.

    This was with Sportisimoto's jets.
118 works best with 105 jet.
101 works best with 102.5 jet.

    Both required 40 pilots.

This was also on an old gen.

128 makes the best. It was not included in the contingency program until this past week.

As to my reply for stock gearing at RA. I didn't read the fine print thought you were talking about shocks.

    ^I'm working on that.

I also need to apologize to Thrak cause I didn't word my comment the way I should have. I wasn't calling him out. Also the pregen cdis are infact legal but you need to make a plug and play harness for it. Just switching the pins on the oem connector is illegal though.

it sets the ignition map to 42 degrees in the higher rpms and sets the rev limit to 15000 which is more than the stock oil pump can handle so you would have to watch it rpm wise. we have run the engine up that high on the dyno but it will really put a strain on the motor and shortens its life span. it is the most cost effective upgrade but at the same time you will be putting a 15-20 year old part on a brand new bike so buy two and keep your stock one handy.

I correct myself, pretty sure Strouds bike has a "Works" shock.

Thats OK, I like it when he beats me as long as I'm close:D

More like 45 lbs. to get him up to 170:up:

Naw, he got it from Chad that way.

I ran the stock shock all last year at 165/170 lbs. and got into the 9's at Tally. The stock shock is good for lap times alot lower than people think.
Front springs and stock shock is all it needs unless your over 175 lbs. to go faster than most.

Interesting. Will the front wheel bolt up to the old gen?

Quick question about old gen if anyone can help... what are the options for bodywork? I haven't seen any aftermarket race bodywork, which hasn't surprised me. Will new gen race stuff bolt up with some modifications or are you guys just taping up the lights and rocking with it?

You need to modify spacers to center the wheel, then make a bracket to mount the caliper, because the new gen has a larger diameter rotor, and a different bolt pattern doesn't allow you to just bolt on the old gen rotor.

The easy way is to swap for the new gen front end, which is illegal.

    What we need is ....

    a) produce a cheap spacer and bracket kit for the wheel swap. Something that is easily reproduced by any Joe in their garage or available for purchase.

    or

    b) allow the full front-end swap on the old gen ... and hopefully show that it provides no competitive advantage. Maybe then we can petition to have the ESS rules amended to allow the front end swap.
