I have 2 year old VP engine gunk on my intake valves, and ports. I've tried nearly everything to get it off, whaaaat is the deal, I mean....Hey?

Thanks, but I have the head off, the valves out, soaked with kerosene, engine brite Gel (by Gunk), carb cleaner, acetone, intake injector cleaner, Dremel with polishing ball/pad. Jeez oh man, what the heck. It seems like I have to chip it off with a screw driver...

Would muratic acid be ok to use on the valves? Obviously not the head, because it would eat the aluminum, and nuetralize the valves with baking soda after cleaning.

    like a jewler's cleaner.
Nah, I just busted my butt all night cleaning the valves with mini brass brush and cleaner. Got the head mostly clean with the Dremel brush ball head, but didn't want to touch the valve seats with it. I guess I'll just use lapping compound to clean them.
