Thanks for looking, I have an 03 gsxr 750 and i keep having issues with the wires melting at the stator where it connects to the wire connection. i have replaced the stator 2 times and have replaced the rectifier.... shit just happened again, dose anyone know what would cause this to happen im at a loss . thanks, mike
If I remember correctly, some SVs have this problem. I think it was retified by replacing the wires with a heavier gauge.
my old 600 srad did the same thing , i took the wire that was burnt and straight wired it bypassing the connector , worked like a charm . the terminal size in the connector was too thin to carry the amperege in my own opinion . never the less its a common problem
