Theres no words that can express what I am feeling right now. This girl was one of my best friends. We started doing trackdays about the same time a couple years ago, and had an instant bond since we were both female in a male predominant sport, and both our spouses were track junkies like us. I had finally made the decision to get my wera license and race with her this weekend at Barber when this tragedy happened. R.I.P. my dear friend, I miss you already
Oh man, I just realized who the rider was. My heart cries out to the family of the lost, we will keep you and the family of the corner worker in our prayers.
R.I.P. to those involved in the accident My thoughts and prayers go out to the families that are being affected by this. It is very sad to hear about fallen riders and helpers of the racing community.
Sometimes I forget that there is an element of risk involved in what we as racers choose to do........ this also really puts into perspective the huge commitment corner workers make considering most are not even paid. Godspeed and my prayers are with friends and families left behind.
Roosell weeps My heart is broken As you know, we lost Sutton Friday in practice at Barber. A celebration & memorial of her life will be held Monday at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel: 1500 Gadsden Road Trussville, AL 35235. Gathering from 2-3, with service from 3-4. The phone to the chapel is 205.655.2176
I can't even think how you must feel. If there is anything we can do just let us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Oh my god Roosell, I can't imagine the pain you are feeling right now. April, mom/dad, and I all had a rough morning this morning after I realized it was Sutton. You both were so welcoming to us at Nashville last month. This is a huge loss for you foremost, but also for the world in general. I know you will have many around you during this time, but if you need anything, I may be a while away, but I will do whatever I can to help. You will be in my thoughts. She was a great woman!
