looking for people who are racing V6 or V7 with GSXRs i am currently trying to install a F1 superbike seat thereis not kit avail anyone have any advise wasthinkin of making an aluminum plate that goes from the tank mounting bolts to the mount where the seat lock was and use epoxying or velcro to hold the seat to the bracket HELP
I dunno..I just used the stock seat with the Sharkskinz tailsection on my '92. That way i could retain the stock seat latch so I don't have to pulll the whole tailsection off or fiddle with bolts to get to the battery. I just removed the cable and keylock assy. and modified the latch so I can reach up under the seat and open it manually.
Mounting it can't be any harder than drilling a hole through the center of the seat pad directly over a plate bolted across the subframe aft of the battery. Use the stock bolt inserts on the frame rails. Then drill out the most rear ward cross support mounting hole and fit a clip-on Duz plate. Drill one hole in the top of the tail for the male Duz thingy.
