My endurance team owner has built us a bike for this year that is so friggin gorgeous that I have to show it off. The paint is incredible not to mention the thing is slathered in high end parts. We are WWII buffs, which is reflected in the team name, bike, and logo. Think Hellcats in the Pacific. Side View Front View of flying tigers logo back close up of fake radial engine oil blow by
that thing looks sweet. Where did the pin up girl on the tank come from? Is it a sticker or hand painted?
Nice. I don't remember any Hellcats with the teeth nose art, that was the P40 with the Flying Tigers. My dad was a P40 and P47 mechanic in North Africa and Italy, those were great fighters.
you are correct there Knarf However, that area looked really empty without something. and the "nose art" pinup girl is panted. I lost a second on this thing right out of the gate. I dont want to be the dope that bins it.
Freudian slip. oh, and credit where it is due. The paint was done by Michael Patterson at Totally Graphic Designs, Weatheford Texas.
Did the irony of painting up a Japanese motorcycle in a US Navy WWII paint scheme ever occur to you? Should'a painted dark green and white with big red meatballs on it.
Let me give you even a little more irony; I wear a Suomy Tamada replica. It has a japanese flag on one side. and we got beat by a "Shogun" sponsored Buell.
Looks like a P-51 Mustang to me. They had Rolls -Royce Merlin engines. Theres a guy in Vero Beach, FL that buzzs around town sometimes at about 400 knots. The thing roars.
you need pratt and whitney stickers on both sides and more oil streakin from that R2800 wasp. i like it man.
