I watch him from time to time. I haven't decided if he is funnier than the other guys or if at that time of night I am tired and everything is funny. I think his monologue (sp?) is much better than the other talk show guys.
On a related subject, I saw Pamela Anderson on the Tonight Show this week. Promoting her new almost-straight-to-video movie (in theaters next week, available on DVD two weeks later. No joke). That was hilarious. It's so bad, she doesn't even pretend it's a real movie. I never particularly cared for her, but I am now a fan.
what makes that even more interesting is that fact that 1) he didn't have standup experience when he started the show, and 2) at least in the beginning, he completely improvised is monologues.
He was a well known stand up comedian in the UK before coming to the States. Appearing regularly at the Edinburgh festival and recording a few standup albums.
We saw his show a few months ago in DC. I laughed so hard that I was literally in pain by the end. Just hilarious! :up:
Craig Ferguson is unwatchable... his accent is so thick it's like nails accross a black board Conan O'B hair & puppet dancing... now that's funny
