The J-models spell a lot of stuff various ways, Ito, Itoh, Kato, Katoh, they can't make up their minds, or else translating a language of individual characters into an alphabet language or vice versa is an imprecise science. Maybe that's why they use such English phrases as "shop-ping cen-ta" in their TV commercials.
Actually it should be "sho-pin-gu cen-ta" And the addition of the "h" at the end of the is relevent depending on the character used in the name, basically if the name has the extra draw at the end. But then it could also be an "o" instead of a "h". Why soup does it a particular way one day versus another I don't know. Just my 2 cents...... carry on.
