    Do you use frame sliders?

If so, where do you mount them?

don't have "frame" sliders on my 400sm. but I do have axle sliders front and rear. Mount on a threaded rod inserted thru the hollow axle. A company called APA i think it is, sells exhaust can sliders. goes around the can to protect from rash.

also the hand guards help a lot also.

By the time you put axle sliders and bar end sliders on, you really don't need frame sliders. I made up a set that bolts to the down tube of the bike to protect the radiator, but after looking at it (and laying it down on the track), it would take an unusual situation for them to contact the asphalt.

Because I don't want to see my friend as part of the aftermath of an SRX going 72mph v. a 200hp GSXR1000 going 165mph at the kink in the front straight.

Oh, you meant the endurance comment. Nope, not on the SRX. RA, maybe, but no endurance.

And the SRX is faster than 72.

...not before the kink it isn't :)

RA??? You might make it to Road Atlanta this year? That would be awesome!

EDIT: I had misssed the "Cycle Jam" portion of that post. I was thinking VIR, hence my comment about the front straight. Anyway, I hope you make it th Cycle Jam...that is a fun time fo sho!

You might consider peg sliders too. If your still using the stock folding pegs. They can gouge a pretty good mark in the pavement without them.
