Wanted to get perspective here....what does POS mean to you if you see it written. Does your answer change if you work in Sales???
I'm sure it changes if you're into marketing and sales and such - first time I heard something referred to as a POS Display I rolled
In the collateral recovery biz POS 99.99% of the time means Piece of XXXXX. Adam Sandler even wrote a song about it!
Where I am POS usually refers to the cash register, bar codes, database etc. POP is all marketing material you see in a store.
My prior job was developing POS software. The suits called it Point of Sales, but POS meant something else to the rest of us.
in my line of work, i use both phrases in one. i hate working on the pieces of shiat point of sales equipment. mainly because it feels degrading after working on servers and large mainframes for 8 years.
Why do you ask? That Ivan guy's not trying to act like he didn't call the new Suzuki (he'll sell you for MSRP) a piece of shit is he?
...oops... I shouldn't be saying that until your 30 day return period is over...he he he... (nice to hear that it's getting some use:up: stay positive with her...it helps!)
and I didn't read it that way until your post. I meant that as "I understand them both independently..."
