Did I read right that he set another track record while at Summit? My local SoFl man killing it. Where are all the Florida haters saying we have no talent???
The new pavement is apparently has more grip. It still takes a massive amount of talent to set a time like that. I was also very impressed with the guys running 14.x and low 15.x through an entire TC stint.
Great battles indeed. So don't over look any of those top guys for sure. It was Mark Heckles that broke the CCS lap record back in May.....at 1:11 something..... on Dunlops.....then went a 1:10.973 this round....
I was there on Sunday watching those guys tear it up. Mesa was ripping it on his BMW. Babuska had to work damn hard just to get 3rd or 4th place. The 600's dropped down into the 13's. From what I've been told, the new pavement is nice. Melkman was there too.
I know he was in the 11's last year on the old pavement and I thought they said it was a record but RRW says different.
