Yep, the classic line used several times in 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' I had seen it before, usually in bits and pieces. Tonight it was on AMC, and I watched from just after the beginning till the end. This is such a classic! The Set, the Props, the actors, the accents, and make up and dress, the dialogue, the story line, the messages regarding the situation in the westward expansion of Europeans, etc., etc. All famous actors, etc. Other than Clint getting the younger white girl towards the end, NO sex, NO explosions, NO kung fu fighting, What a classic movie. One of the best of all times! Discuss
So many good/heavy scenes! The one where he road back to town near the end, and the locals called him Mr. Wilson. Then Fletcher - a Ranger, meets him in the street, and says, 'I don't think Josey Wales IS dead'. and I won't repeat the rest of the scene, but wow, what an awesome movie. No movies seem to be like that today.
Oh hell. My brothers and I have been using one-liners from this one for years and years. It surprises me how many people have never seen it.
Saw it at the theater when it came out in 76. First time my dad let me take his car out...and it's because I was going to see a Clint movie. I've seen it so many times since then that I believe I have every line memorized.
"There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life."
"You say them horses are them their pilgrims?" spits on the dead guys fore head.. Classic!! This the same one with the classic "Well there Mr. Carpet Bagger, around these parts we got a thing around here called a Missora Boat Ride"...
I have told the guys at work a few times that, "there are those with guns and there are those who dig." They never get it.
