It’s called the manufactures cup and it is an all motorcycle meet. I just found out about it today and I’m free that weekend. Mama wants to go see Tyler in NYC that weekend, but I told her I have to go race. https://www.racemancup.com/ If I get more info I will pass it along. Out picking up parts now and just got off the phone with the organizer, to make sure I don’t need a special license and I don’t. Woo Hoo!!!
Barber is my son's favorite track, and he only got to ride it one weekend. I would love to run there myself someday, it sounds like a great time. I know there are a few Midwesterners that don't road race anymore, and wanted me to let them know when I was drag racing again. But I agree, definitely go to Barber to race. Road racing is more exciting versus drag racing, and much more expensive too, as well as more dangerous. At least for me, I've broken many bones road racing, and haven't broken any in drag racing. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.
The following week, I am tentatively scheduled to be in Indiana. If I head up a few days earlier and swing by, it only adds three hours of driving. If I can make it work, I will.
I have all I can handle with my regulars @motion and @ToofPic, especially since @pickled egg and @StaccatoFan have been slidin in my DMs. Plus Yamaha’s aren’t doing to well in MotoGP!!!! So I’m not sure I want to hang with you anymore, except at the drag strip, where no one will see us. Even Rossi left you for that glorious Ducati Staccato!!!
What class you riding? We just bought back our old drag bike from the eighties a few weeks ago and am in the process of getting it ready to go to the track. Old school 1197 Kawi. Went 8.90’s way back when with a way lighter rider… Hoping we can do super comp with it. If not will put together a motor that will…
