I rode one of the custom hardtails with big stretch and a chunky S&S motor. Good gawd that was the most awful thing to ride. Other than wanting to tuck the front on even the slightest turn, there was one miserable thing about those bikes. 99% of them were single seaters. Where's the chick supposed to ride? On the handlebars?
I recently picked up the new vmax1700 it’s freaking sweet. It’s the only bike I’ve owned that will straight up light up the rear tire right off the throttle. And that’s with my fat ass on it!!! It’s officially keeper #2
Sweet! What kind of power you looking to get out of it? I put an S&S 128 kit (bored out to make 130”) in my 117” CVO engine. Ended up getting 155hp and 154 tq. Fun bike now.
I think the Atlas frame this started as was a featherbed, wasn't it? Now it's a raked. This would make a purist sick.
Instead of ruining a Featherbed, they should've just used an XS650 Yamaha. There's a million of them, no one would miss one.
Agreed. And really, a Featherbed frame is a big ugly thing when stripped down like that, even after those guys cut the front of the Featherbed frame off and added some Harley looking front down tube to it. Much better to use up something that’s common and also looks half decent when stripped. This is just fugly.
