Ive been using pitbull for over 10 years. I would like a lighter alternative. I have a van and would like something a lot lighter that I can mount to the wall but good quality. Whats out there?
How about PowerStands? They still making PitBull look-alikes out of paper towel tubes covered in aluminum foil?
Those HF aluminum ones are the most common single type I've seen. Honestly I they're the best I've used, too. Including the pitbull stuff. Bike doesn't fall down, stand doesn't fall apart, and it weighs 5oz. I don't need my stand to survive the apocalypse. I hold up delicate motorcycles with it, I don't kill zombies with it.
Here you go. If you have to ask you can't afford it. https://www.pierobonframes.com/en/product/titanium-rear-stand-2/
I really like Gee-Tech https://m.facebook.com/pg/www.Geetechfabs/photos/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0 He provides stands for several BSB teams.
That's great if you only race in paddocks with pavement. Charlie built his stuff to work on the ground at Talladega
Here you go, I ve seen some BMW teams with this carbon fiber one https://hhrperformance.com/i-316450...L4-3z-42JRS_bGEEwmQR8F-asJum7AzRoClu0QAvD_BwE
The HF stands are copies of some good stands with thick aluminum, not paper thing BS like the HF stands. I won't even allow them in my shop if dropping off a bike.
I have these stands in addition to other stands. These stands aren’t for the track, but they are great for garages with tight spaces.
There is a Pit Bull Ultralight stand. We removed the width adjustability option as part of a larger effort to reduce weight. You can order them in 3 height and 3 widths(or even a custom size if you contact us). They've been used by race teams that wanted lighter stands for a long time now. Total weight is 30% less than a traditional Pit Bull stand. We could go lighter, but then you'd get into durability issues and it wouldn't be a Pit Bull.
I've been named "customer of the month" several times at HF... and I have to say their rear stands are super cheesy
