You guys remember when he got all mad on a broadcast about how much everyone loved Roger, and hated him? LMAO.
I think the idea of SBK cup is exactly what you are saying. Stock1000 riders get to ride with the SBK, and some of them see they are competitive. Could be enough to get them to make the jump. I think at least one or two guys started that way, threw some lightweight wheels and aftermarket calipers on their Stock bikes and became SBK racers. BTW I think Scheibe will be racing a new bike next year, just visited Moto Union this weekend, and two of the older BMWs were sitting there (for sale I think).
If you're talking about Robby Floyd, they moved him out of the box and down as a "sideline" reporter towards the end of the year and he was actually decent in that role. If you're talking about Greg White, I got nothing for ya.
Really happy he got a great ride! Just bummed it was not in Europe or in SS. He is a great talent and seems like a good kid.
I'm a few days late on this, but I was surprised that HSBK announced supporting the Aprilias, given that Ducati's level of commitment is higher than its ever been. https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-rodio-racing-and-warhorse-hsbk-racing-join-forces/
His riding ability and the Altus bike will have him mixing it up with some of the superbike front runners for sure.
I think when they paired him up with Jason Pridmore, his quality improved. I'm not sure if Pridmore's contribution is an an area where he was weaker or if it's just the chemistry, but I'm way happier with them together. I think the best set of announcers is Jamie Witham and Jack Burnicle calling BSB. I think Burnicle knows waaay more than he lets on in the both, but he sets up Whit perfectly to explain the technical/rider side of what's happening on screen.
