Eh, thought it was a cool picture. Didn't catch the joke obviously. 25 inch Yamato armor after being tested against a 16" shell.
When I looked up the pic to figure out which ship it was, the article said it was used as a ferry for a short time.
What I saw said it was a full relocation fro Puget sound to San Diego. The internet never makes mistakes.
Spotted a canoe. An old Renault 5 and even a Peugeot(!?!) A few 1st generation civics A ghostbuster mobile too. It's like walking into an antique shop.
I recall reading that Ricardo Montalban just made up on the spot the "rich Corinthian leather" thing when they were filming the commercial.
I guess I'm an antique. There's a few different year Challengers, some Grand Prix, quite a few pintos, a pretty cool Maverick, Camaros, a couple of Vette's....A Chrysler 300...all sorts of mediocre cars...
Talk about vehicle choice back then. RWD coupe or sedan. Occasional wagon and pickup. But everything was built the same way. Body on frame.
