Err… Too late to edit my other post. I have know idea what FIM traction paint costs, not cheaper I gather.
Did COTA put in a oval?? Joking aside… I’m glad you mentioned it, now I have something else to check this weekend
That isn't the point. People were whining about the lack of a professional appearance of the curb paint and were complaining about the number of people that use the curbing to straighten out the line and then the general need for FIM spec paint so the curb jumpers have traction and that it was all the fault of VIR management. The point is that if they don't get FIM spec paint on all the curbs before tomorrow then they are guilty as hell of something. I suggest we use 3 ft screw drivers and pitchforks on the management because in the opinion of the beeb experts, they are diminishing the value of OUR sport and how dare they.
3ft screw drivers seem excessive, 1ft will do… In all seriousness, I’m not trying to condemn what we have, but there is always room for improvement and that is what I would like to see. I used the example of curbs because that is what i see on tv.
Have you ever even raced a 2 stroke? I crashed and burned an RD400 in turn 4 at BIR in about 1979 or 80 during the endurance race.
I’m Broome-esque. I didn’t throw a leg over in anger until ‘99, on a fizzer-4hunnit, but as a fucking old fart now, I can see tuning a 2T to be a labor of love.
