We were due to go there last May for exactly that reason, not sure when we'll go now.

Seems to tick a lot of boxes for us but until we actually get there and see for ourselves, it's all just internet research.

- Cost of Living is 39% less than where we are in Canada right now.
- weather is amazing
- proximity to the rest of Europe + cheap flights over there = win!
- large Ex-pat community, almost everyone speaks English.
- healthy lifestyle - lots of farmers markets, hiking trails, motorcycling culture.

I’d recommending checking out some premium tickets. A lie flat bed, gourmet meals and lots of booze make the flight go fairly quickly.

I had to look up Leroy Jenkins, never heard of him before.

 

It's not shocking for people to not have heard of him, but it got me thinking...aside from a console or game launch, it's probably the most well known video game moment in 40 or so years of their existence.
