    Because it was there when they were laying out and pouring the basement and it's easier and cheaper to leave it then move it.

    Just get a couple XL googly eyes and slap 'em on the rock. Instant low maint. pet. The wife will enjoy dressing it up for each season.

    Got any kids? Star drill and feathers/wedges. :D. No kids? SDS drill, and BFH.

    Sounds right to me. Had a 2-2.5 cube of granite (I think) with a ring in it for tying up horses at dads house. Moved it around a bunch. Bent a spud bar trying to carry it through the loop :crackup:
