300 Car Barn Find and a Bimota

Reddit sleuths believe it could all belong to Roger Penske. Which would explain all the race cars.

That's just hoarding. Can't even be bothered to keep the lights working? It would take a whole day just to get some of those cars out of there. Why not spend the money to do was Leno has done?

 

And that's 1 of 3 or 4 warehouses he has full of cars.

 

I don't see a sprinkler system in that place, which would be insane.

With the general mess of the place, it does come across more as hoarding than collecting.

do they make 4 post lifts for F18s? Did the owner buy the lifts one at a time or did they "group buy" the hell out of em...lol
Some of the projects struck me as odd so there must be some kinda interesting story. Cracked me up how they are for sale BUT more vehicles
could be added because its about the hunt!
Looked like brick & steel construction so the building would be ok...lol.
But if some of those things have been sitting 20yrs... how many hours of work would it take to assess and get em running.
From a cleaning/ detailing standpoint... figure $100/hr @8hrs at a minimum.
And the race cars... looks like they can make a tire vendors weekend.
Ive seen the plastic cover things at the Rod Run... probably bought those like people buy rubber gloves.

 

Cool collection no doubt. But I feel sorry for then just sitting. These things are meant to be driven.

If my generation and younger dont see them and develop an appreciation, they will go the way of the DoDo and the Model-A

 

Don't believe it could be Penske's.....he's got the resources to keep the things maintained.

Would love to know the actual owner......towards the end of the video, Blue Viper with NY plates, "LV2GOFST"......that should tell you the owner.

 

It's a weird mix of random go fast. The IMSA Aurora race car would be a good one to track down. I don't think the team had more than two. I dug a little bit and saw that one sold at Barrett Jackson a while back but no word on the buyer.

 

The owner is a lawyer in Brooklyn.

 

Once he said that E31 with Alpina wheels was AWD I switched off.

It seems par for the course in auctions like that, most of these guys don't know what they have or are highly misinformed.
