Maybe this guy will get involved https://roaringtoyz.com/v-twin-gallery/ His bike won the twins class last year at Laguna.
https://www.motor1.com/news/173986/mercedes-amg-red-pig/ "In 1971, when the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG rumbled into the Spa paddock for the first time, people pointed and laughed."
I'll be interested in seeing the rules package for this. I mean do they stop the race when one of them's "old lady" falls off or they keep on rollin? I think it'll be entertaining and can't wait to watch this....seriously.
Yeah, It doesn't make any sense but as a one off I kind of want to see what happens. since I posted about the UJM class I think I'd like to see a Katana cup, like the old GSXR cup. Be a cool class in WERA.
I( find it kinda funny, like at the Dragon area for instance. A bagger/floorboards starts dragging hard parts on corners, invariably looses it b/c of this. What they gonna do here? Raise the bags and floor boards? And, is it really 250lb# minimum rider weight? It'll be like when I race catamarans, like in F18 class. you have to put weights on your boat, in specific spots if you are under minimum crew weight to make up the difference. They can just add some beer to the bags!
Get rid of the floor boards and put some ride height on it and body position will help greatly. A majority of those baggers have lowering kits installed as well as after market saddle bags that are a bit longer and deeper than OEM. They should have some clearance to play with but for sure it doesn’t take much to scrape one. I would be more concerned about cooking the brakes and keeping some feel in the front tire etc. In any event, there is going to be some very good riders on these things and they’ll figure it all out and ride the wheels off.
