My daughter likes some of her songs, and it’s easy to hear how it’s catchy for that age. The authenticity of her act though.. that’s the one thing I’m curious about. If her and her brother really are behind it all, that’s bloody awesome. Chances are though, imagine it’s just like you described. Shrugs

I'm surprised there wasn't a thread about the whole damn show! My drummer was pissed off about Joey Kramer, it would have been funny if he crashed the stage during Aerosmith's gig.
Amazing how Billy Ray Cyrus has staying power. First, a mega hit with the most mediocre song ever, then a wacky daughter, and now Hip Hop!

My 16yo daughter can't stand her, so that's good enough for me. Of course her favorite band is Slipknot and even likes heavier stuff then I do, so I lucked out. :D

Nothing wrong with it. It's what pop music is. Mostly harmless, kids like it, makes money for the people promoting it. Maximum profit in the least amount of time.

    She's got a good voice.

Some of her music is ok, manages to get some catchy hooks that work.

Then again Radio Paradise played one of her lesser songs where the only comment I could leave on the forum was about the evident drawback of the 'Everybody Wins' educational philosophy....

The response to the comment was quite polarized.

Oddly I just listened to both her albums in a 2hr long you tube session.
Not too bad lyrically and I've definitely heard worse (any boy band, ever).

I will say her cover of Eres Tú was pretty damn good.

Not so sure on if she's contrived or not, but she seems to be less formula and more authentic than I would expect.

One good thing came out of this. Had completely forgotten about K Flay, so I queued up some speech impediment industrial to get the dog’s attention :D

CBS Sunday morning had a piece on her not too long ago. She and her brother seem legit. I wish them both success.

I heard an Apple interview she did just over 2 years ago now. Seemed liked and interesting kid and her song “ocean eyes” really showed she can sing. I haven’t really listened too much to her music but I’d rather my kid like that than a lot of the other shit that’s out now.
