You know, as I think about these kinds of channels, I can definitely see a niche for one more: Uppity Eats with Dave Sapsis. The riffraff space is overcrowded but the Michelin-Star end of the spectrum on YouTube, where authenticity supersedes taste, is comparatively light on content.
I pulled my service jacket out of the closet.... LOL... I was on the Shitty Kitty from Oct 89-> Mar 91 Seems both of us have foggy memories. I, too, don't recall the Connie being there, but I swear I remember seeing the Missouri (BB63) tied up on the opposite side of the pier as the Kitty (CV63). That pier could've singlehandedly won any war in history.
Marginally political but too funny to hide in the dungeon. https://twitter.com/i/status/1218527269200613376
French Guy Cooking (speaks English) does a lot of interesting vids on why stuff is cooked certain ways, plus some unique ways to achieve it.
I need a producer. But I don't like folks messin' with me when I'm creatin'. The posted video was done by my old highschool buddy and his 16 y.o. kid. I kept telling them to get out mah kitchen! (Donald kills me. Its my birthday, and I make them dinner.)
That guga dude does have some style. I watched his sous vide brisket piece, and when he gets the meat bagged up he's completely beside himself/over the moon and kisses it. I thought I loved food but he's in a different parsec.
The Missouri was parked directly in front of the Connie. I used to look down from the Connies bow over the stern of the Missouri. The Kitty Hawk was parked behind us 90 degrees. But this was in San Diego lol At least that's how i remember it.
