Foods That Sound Gross Together But You Like Them

Cottage cheese with apple sauce on top. My wife and kids are so convinced that it's gross they won't even try it.

 

I'm with them.

 

I use cottage cheese as a dip for sour cream and onion chips. Mmm good.

But i like cottage cheese by itself so that helps.


I also used to love getting a scoop of rocky road with rainbow sherbet as the next scoop. That interface layer was....interesting....but not bad. Think chocolate covered strawberry...

 

Peanut Butter and Tuna Fish

 

Apple sauce on top of a chocolate cupcake.

Mixed honey and PB with crackers or pretzels.

 

Peanut butter pickles and mayo sammich

 

Cream cheese and pineapple sandwich.

 

Cottage cheese and baked beans.

 

Tomato slices w/sugar sprinkled on 'em.

 

Well, PEACH schnapps and anything. For the last couple of days I’ve had a taste for Jack Daniels but in either the homemade Down Home Punch recipe or the Lynchburg Lemonade. The Down Home Punch recipe calls for Peach Schnapps. There’s no way I could drink that swill by itself.
Well let me tell you I stopped by my fermented beverage supplier to pick up the ingredients. I’m several drinks in and . . . I’ll stop here.

Who ever thinks this is gross needs to have their head examined. That was desert at my grandpa's place. Big ass slices of beefsteak tomatoes covered in C&H sugar...mmm tastes like childhood.

Now fried green tomatoes..yuuuccckkkkk

 

DO you just like saying grapefruite?

 

You must fly above 10,000 in an unpressurized Cessna at night without oxygen and bumped your head. Every yankee knows that a fresh off of the vine tomato needs just a tad bit of salt & pepper to enhance its flavor.
