I just got a KL R and the previous owner lubed the chain a lot. The wheels have spokes and I need to clean it when I change the tire. Any suggestions Thanks
SOS pads, Dawn liquid dish soap or simple Green, water Use a minimal amount of water on the SOS pads, scrub the spokes, hum and rim. It should create a big blue mess. Add detergent as the soap is used up. Rinse with water. Lather, rinse, repeat until shiny.
Odorless kerosene in a spray bottle. Spray on, wipe and repeat if necessary. Been doing this for 20 years and it works great. It will not ruin any finish on a bike so i use it on the whole underside of my bike also.
I'm going to say easiest way is to pay someone else to do it in the your driveway while you sit in a lawn chair, drink beer and supervise. Livengood you still have to load it up and drive it there.
Get Broome, 3 cans of WD, and a twelve pack of beer. Then dare his ass to clean that wheel. He'll get pissed and clean that sumbitch like new. The beer's for me. Weirdo don't drink.
