https://motoamerica.com/2019/02/motoamerica-announces-nbc-sports-network-deal-for-2019-series/ Puzzle piece three. I like it.
Superbike on FS2 and a highlights package on NBCSN?? Weird, but ok. I'm glad to hear FS2 is keeping the announcer lineup. Hopefully Hannah can jam her foot in the NASCAR door over there; Fox Sports is going to be on the hunt for new pit reporters and studio hosts eventually. Work it!
Per Wayne in their IG post yesterday, there is another announcement coming Friday. Streaming subscription perhaps??
That's technically possibly not true. The NBCSN highlights show likely covers Supersport, and maybe all of it.
They can get numbers and such and use them without spilling what it'll be on - but sponsors will also have to understand the deal and some of them are in the know already too. It sucks for sure but it's doable and people in the business actually do understand why it has to be that way.
And just cuz - http://www.roadracingworld.com/news...JsV3CiXGN0DVeD49W6VmVCt_kdU6W8Wnpf8mUMlEgkhHo this is why it's good to own your TV rights.... Yes I'm sure it's a repost but done on purpose to prove a point
We got better response from the channels and sponsors for getting our stuff on a recap show than we ever did airing entire races. Full races are great for fans, recaps are great for getting new fans.
sweet, more major network coverage. I hope they get a bunch of rider interviews and start showing all our fans who's under the helmet.
MotoGP and WSBK still on BEIN for 2019 http://www.roadracingworld.com/news...cast-on-bein-sports-in-north-america-in-2019/
I wish I could dump my BEIN subscription on dish. Have to buy the sports 200 channel upgrade that includes 182 channels trying to sell me sh*t. May have to check out going directly to MGP and WSBK...
It's worth underlining the point that American roadracing will taken precedent over MotoGP, in terms of a TV deal. Not too long ago, many would have never thought that could or would happen.
