Good news for racing in the US. Quick...book hotel rooms so there is no way they can screw you over and re-sell them for 5x as much once they realize whats going on........
Sadly the attendance will probably be down again, especially since some people probably already made alternate plans. We almost did. We'll be at Laguna now, though! Woot!
When you start with a little, doesn't take much to show improvement. I hope the event does great, but sadly the US motorcycling scene leaves a lot to be desired especially vs the rest of the world Sent from my smatrfone
The only thing that's within a 10 minute drive in California is the mailbox at the end of your driveway.
Listen Mr. Coolbreeze/life is a highway/ don't worry be happy, some of us need the anger to keep us warm in winter... Hey Pat - Merry Xmas
My mom lives in Salinas and we spent many nights at her place for MotoGP weekends at Laguna. Maybe a 20 minute drive to the track and a bit longer coming back due to traffic. No R-B, I won't give up her info.
I'm not sure what that's based on though. There's lies, damn lies, and statistics. Believe me I want it to be a huge draw and a money maker for the track. I love that place. We've been there every year and while the numbers might say more we've seen the grandstands get thinner and thinner every year. Last year in Race 2 we basically walked to the seats in front of start finish and didn't have any problem finding a place to sit. Prior years we'd have to go down a section or 2 if we didn't get there early. They've also done away with some of the inter-race stuff like stunt shows and demos. Even the rider meet and greets have changed.
