When has Honda ever built a bike that was competitive right out of the box? As long as I can remember, the only thing any of their championship winning bikes had in common with anything a normal person could buy was the shape of the bodywork.
I think that is a stretch. I highly doubt every other OEM puts out stock motors that are close to the limit, with no regard for reliability. While Honda intentionally makes their less powerful. A more likely scenario is that the Honda is a turd.
So if Bautista kicks ass and starts winning immediately, does that mean Rea really isn't cut out for MotoGP after all? I think yes.
I'm not diggin' the Honda hate. A CBR is a street bike. They're good enough, under-powered as they're perceived to be, to turn better lap times than just about anything else that isn't an homologation special. You want Honda to build a dedicated race bike? We've seen the results...over and over.
Winning or dominating? If he can't do the latter I'd say Rea could do what Bautista did on the factory Duc while filling in for J-Lo.
The Fireblade isn't far off at the Ulster Grand Prix or the other road races. Better indicator of outright power than a closed circuit. Not far off, but still behind the new crop of liter bikes. They have some catching up to do yet.
Whoa-Whoa-WHOA, 'Toe. Are you advocating for something other than Suzuki?! I knew you weren't as one-sided as you present...or maybe it's just an underdog thing.

Can't root for the winning team, huh? I understand, but Ducati is also an underdog...even if it is one-sided.
Uhhh. Yeah, 'Toe, that's it! It certainly seems more promising than the other team efforts...enough to bring one particular other team's efforts into question about whether they can stay on top.
That's what I thought, but his bike looked exactly like Davies' and Bautista's so I was thrown off a bit. I see it has full factory support, which explains it.
