I started racing in '74. First GNF was in '76 at TWS. I flew my drone over there the other day. The flood cars are gone and they're bulldozing the banking.
That makes me sad. I did the 6 hour endurance race at TWS back in the day and it was an experience I will never forget. That track was awesome. Well worth the long ass drive from Charlotte.
Jeff, We were racing together like 35 years ago. We must be getting old, but I still have race bikes. If I come to Grattan next year you can race the SV if you want. It even has Pirellis on it.
I couldnt log in under my old Conner 98 account,so came back with this one. Don't know having lived under 2 names.Mongo?
March 2004. Followed Putter here from a local forum. Traveled across the country the next spring to race with a bunch of these fools, been friends ever since.
I like to hang at Grattan with the WERA peeps and was there last race. The race director is of course the famous Mr. Sublet, LOL. Ken, he wasn't changed at all but he does ride a Harley now so go figure. I tried to get into the race leathers last year but I need to lose about 10 to get them zipped, so we will see. But I ride the woods (KTM 200XCW) with GT#179 and a few guys (Pirelli peeps too) each fall/winter/spring in Georgia. We go to Highland Park Resort in Cedartown, and this place is bad ass fun. And Mike Grissom keeps telling me he and his son will show up and ride with us one of these days.
Not disrespecting the mitten at all - just noting the Dan we were discussing was from there as is the guy in the court decision
